Combat system have been improved and feel more fast pace with every hit now have good weight to them.

You can block/defend anytime and there are perfect blocks now.

Skill can be chained as long as you have enough AP meaning you can use multiple skills at once.

CC can be gain by using skills and are consume when using battle items. Battle items can also be chained like skills.

Core dive, which allow you to use unique skill once in every battle by using certain type or amount of battle items at once.

There are red directional indicator which let you know the enemy is attacking you so that you can block in time.

Unlock main alchemy synthesis items and skills from a skill tree using SP.

Explore ruins and complete their puzzle. Completing puzzle give more SP.

There are much less invisible walls in each area.

Explore some of the area from the first game with fully upgrade graphic.

Swimming and diving are introduced in the game but apart from one main quest that require you to dive, diving been largely underused.

You can swing across gaps and places at the spot the game allow you to do so but implementation feel somewhat cheap and mostly serve as something to block your path.

The map is easier to see now with clear icons on where the main quests, character quests and side quests are.

Tooltip are shown when you get near gathering point which tell you what synthesis item you can obtain. Question mark is shown if you haven't discover the item yet.

Mount magical beast which allow you to travel faster and dig into the ground to gather random synthesis items.

Main item container hit limit fairly fast which force you manage your container often by either donating to the merchant or reducing them to gem.

Combine battle items for extra effect or discover totally new battle items which cannot be obtain from normal synthesis.

Side quest are still fetch and delivery quests.

This game is the sequel of Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & The Secret Hideout where the story is set three years after the first game. I'll be reviewing this game with the assumption that you have already played the first game.

There is a noticeable improvement in graphic quality with better texture, lighting, shadow and colour usage.

Great looking weather effects. Fog roll in, puddle are left after rain, etc.

Sweet sweet Thicc tights and butt shots. 👍

Clothes become wet and transparent when Ryza is running around in the rain. 👍

Anti-aliasing not that good and can see pixel on the lines.

Facial expression is standard anime affair which is okay but character sometime forgot to blink and that can be strange to look at.

Music suit what is going on the screen whether you are in a battle or just exploring different places.

Some music are voice reused from Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & The Secret Hideout.

No English voice option though Japanese voice is pretty good.

The story is light hearted and is more focused this time around with main story focusing on ruins which Ryza and her team explore and uncover it secrets.

All the ruins have their own back story which can be unlock after finding all the memory fragment and doing a small puzzle.

Each characters have their own backstory and issue they are facing which Ryza have to help solve ranging from self-esteem problem to relationship issue.

Side quest story are still uninteresting and almost none existance.
